-For the first time ever I will be playing Goneril (and a little bit of King Lear, !) in The Shakespeare Forum’s production of LEAR, directed by Sybille Bruun Moss. It will run from May 31st to June 16th at El Barrio’s Artspace PS 109 in East Harlem.  More info and tickets here:

-Another staged reading coming up July 16th: Steven Tenney’s ray gun say0nara will be part of the Planet Connections Reading Series. As always with Steven’s plays, my characters have the most peculiar names. I will be playing Quantum of Entanglement. More info coming soon.

-I am very excited to have been cast in the feature film Antarctica, directed by Keith Bearden (Meet Monica Velour with Kim Cattrall) set to start filming in the summer this year. I will play a very peculiar high-school teacher.

Acts & Intermissions: Emma Goldman in America for which I did the voiceover of Emma Goldman, directed by acclaimed documentary film auteur Abigail Child is touring the festivals. Dates and times:

-Fiona Templeton’s The Blue, a two person play I performed in at La MaMa in the spring, is set to go on tour to Europe! Stay tuned for dates.

-Shadowland web series by John Jesurun has completed filming. New episodes will be released soon. I will be returning in the role of Lolita, one of my all time favorites (also featured in the ‘Chang in A Void Moon’ theater plays).

-My life-size portrait by Carlos David is featured in the Personae exhibit

-I took part in a wonderful staged reading of  Family History by Lelia TahaBurt, directed by Susan Tenney, at LaMama

-We have wrapped filming the new feature film project by director Richard Foreman.

-I played the Illustrator in The Triumph of Crowds by Brigid McLeer, The Leslie Scalapino award winning play, directed by Fiona Templeton at Downtown Arts in December 2017.

-We had great fun performing in a staged reading of  Charles Ludlam’s Staged Blood directed by John Jesurun at LaMaMa.

-I performed in an excerpt of  Everything that Rises Must Converge by John Jesurun  at The WeissAcres Loft.

-In October 2017 I took part in a staged reading of The Distant Observer co-written by Takeshi Kawamura  and John Jesurun.

-I was nominated for best supporting actress in a comedy or musical at the 2017 Planet Connections Festival, for my three roles in D4arkly your retrorockets fl4re.

-It was simply wonderful to perform in Fiona Templeton’s poetic The Blue, which played at LaMaMa in April 2017.

-After a great opening and workshops in Boston over the summer, Anna Kohler’s Mytho..? played Abrons Arts in winter 2016.  NY Times wrote about my performance: ’Alenka Kraigher, strong in multiple roles…’

-It was a big challenge to portray a slave owner ‘s wife (southern accent and all!) in artist pope.l‘s The Escape workshop at The Drawing Center,  spring 2016.

-My daughter was born in the spring 2016.
